Requirements: Who Can Apply?

Before you apply, make sure you tick the following boxes:

• South African citizen residing in Gauteng Province

• Possess one of these school leaving certificates:

• Senior Certificate

• National Senior Certificate (NSC)

• Currently in Grade 12

• National Vocational Certificate in Primary Health
  
  

• Applications must be submitted online via the GPG Professional Job Centre before 11th October — late applications will not be accepted.
  
  

• Certified documents must be uploaded; shortlisted applicants will need to bring originals for verification.
  
  

Subject Requirements

Depending on your qualification, you need to meet the following:

• Senior Certificate:
  
  

• English HG D or SG C

• Biology HG D or SG C

• Mathematics HG D or SG C

• M score of 17
  
  

• National Senior Certificate (NSC):
  
  

• English Level 4

• Life Sciences Level 4

• Mathematics Level 4 or Maths Literacy Level 5

• Admission Points Score of 27 or more
  
  

• National Vocational Certificate (NVC):
  
  

• You must at least have 50%  (FAL, Mathematics/Maths Literacy, LO)

• 60% in Vocational Subjects (SA Health Care System, Public Health, The Human Body and Mind, Community Oriented Primary Care)

Program Requirements

Successful applicants must be ready to:

• Sign a learning contract with GCN

• Participate in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), including shifts on weekends, nights, and public holidays at Gauteng Department of Health hospitals and clinics
